My Bafang Ultra Mountain Bike! Frey AM1000

If it sounds too good to be true....

Anytime you get that doubting feeling about something, it's safest to listen to it.

It was probably clearing stock in the warehouse. Take note the battery was External and not the Inner tube. It might be the older M620 motor with an old Rotor and Gear. It would help if you wrote to them to clarify your doubts.

Just a quickie tech question; can anyone confirm that the rear thru axle bolt is 12mm?

Hi everyone,
This is Ivy. Come back this post to have a look today. It has been 7 years till this post started.
Thank you for all your attention on Frey and Frey bikes.
Do you still come here sometimes?

Oh man, I really want a production bike now. This looks amazing.
Is there any other bike that even compares to this? Superb components, big battery, nice powerful motor, good price.
Bikes at the local store at with components like this costs at least double, has a much smaller battery and 250w motor.
I think this one does:
And it needs to be e-biked.

My friend had one of those Bikes Direct Ti bikes and broke the frame at the chainstay/bottom bracket junction. I think a steel frame from a major manufacturer is a better option.

Almost always. Best if it's made from straight pieces of round tubing.

Nobody makes a frame from Ti for its strength and corrosion resistance. It's always for light weight and mystique. The designs reflect this. Also the material cost of Ti keeps manufacturers from ever using much more of it than absolutely necessary.

In the mid '90s there was a brief trend of low(er) cost Ti frames made of lower grade CP titanium alloy from Russia. They weren't as light or glamorous as Merlin, Litespeed etc., but they were the sort of Ti bikes you'd want as a base for an e-bike conversion.
