new tsdz8 pswpower

You can buy torque sensor from PSW, but it is expensive. I would buy new motor and keep old one for spares.

59km/h? 1700W output? You really need a motorbike, or electric scooter not a bicycle.

Disassembly:

Nice disassembly video comparison! Where in Europe is Varstrom? (he speaks perfect Amer english).

Here's a video of him installing a TSDZ8 into a carbon frame. total weight 17 kg (less pedals).

Maybe put motor back together, install on bike, make a convincing video demonstrating the problem with motor, send it to the seller and see what kind of warranty you'll get?
yeah I'll give that a go, nothing to lose.

Onto my second TSDZ8 after the first one broke.

Slight difference with the motor cables: shorter battery cable and display cable is 5 pin male (previous one female) and display is VLCD5. So will get female-female 5 pin adapter cable for the intelligent 810s display that I got with the first motor.

This time I will be using the easy rear gears to set off from stationary starts (52X36)
I'm keeping the 52V battery and 52 tooth front chainring.
Tending to keep the cadence higher now above 90rpm, staying in the 14T rear cog more and rarely in 11T.

I've done roughly 260km/160miles on the new motor, over the last 10 days and have had no repeat of the impact wrench sound/ratchet spinning sounds that were associated with periods of high torque.

Summary:
Performs well, no repeat of issues with last motor yet.
Shaves 30-50 minutes off commute while still providing some training effect.
Allows me to get up to 10-12 hours cycling in a week without causing too much fatigue.
Faster than the car at rush hour.
After 17 days of commuting by bike instead of car, the motor will have paid for itself

Does anyone have software for the 860c for Tsdz8, or knows how to make the 860c work with Tsdz8, now I have an error when I connect 0AH, I know that the display can work with Tsdz8, but it's hard to get the software (I don't want to buy , I want to do it myself), or maybe anyone has new software for ekd01(this with blue screen) older I've got.

My Tsdz8 has failed at around the 2000miles/3000km mark.
Lasted about 10 weeks.
Speeds on open road of 57-59kmph, computer reading 1500-1700W continuous output.
Moral of the story: do not run a motor rated for continuous 750w at >=1500w continuous.

It's a shame we have to trawl through post after post where users have problems because they misused the motor or kept riding in low gear etc etc. It masks visibility of genuine "within spec" problems the drive has.

TSDZ8 is currently around 300€ on AliExpress and many vendors have it in stock, to me this means that demand is there and it will sell well. also some parts seem to be almost same to tsdz2, but that doesn't mean its the same "junk".
the tsdz2 could only be used at 12a max or you risked motor and controller overheating and damage, this new tsdz8 seems to be around 24a and a comparison on YouTube with bbs02 showed that its build slightly better than bafang, so to me that was enough reason to try this motor out. soon i will install it when i get a donor bike then i will see how it performs
Matze, did you receive your TSDZ8? how do you find the motor when using?
