RIPPY CAT

It looks like it's set up for a low voltage cutoff of 37v, so 26v would be below the cutoff. Maybe try lowering the cell count in the setup and see if it runs.

Yep thats one problem but also on the control page the input signal type is set to off instead of ADC.
ADC opens up all the throttle configs and calibration. Ive selected SPEED for the moment but now if I boot the ctlr and try to apply throttle, it makes a screeching noise. The FlipSky tech support is making up setup files that I can flash in.

Times up, Ive initiated a return and refund from FlipSky just before the 30 day time limit.
After 15 emails with the FlipSky tech support, they have not been able to get these FT85BS
controllers to work with the FlipSky 65111 sensorless motors. They have supplied motor
and control bin files which I have flashed into the ctlrs and the props have never done a full turn.
I will now have to spend twice as much on Hobby Kings YEP unit and reduce my battery voltage.

I got this 33v 15A sensorless ctlr off Ebay $20 and it works first go straight out of the box.
No modifications or any adjustments or even a config program.
Why cant Flipsky do that ?
Now just need one of these that can do 90A. I will submerge this one in coolant and see how long it lasts.

Theres a 7th mosfet on the side of the board that gets hot, is same size as the phase fets but doesnt have a heatsink.
I could prob find one a bolt it on.

Submerging didnt work at least not with the stuff I thought was dielectric.
Its a 3M coolant used on our RAAF AEWAC radar planes in the Power electrics.
Ive used it in my race bike since 2012 but only in the motor chill plates.
As soon as the CB touched the liquid, it shut off.
There are some dielectric coolants on ebay but big dollars.
Next plan, air cooling.

Test run at 24 volts. This thing will barely take 2 people but gliding through glass smooth water is so therapeutic.

A relative built one of those from scratch.
Just the Hobie Cat and sail, though.
Was not great success.
The bbq grill was, though.

When youre a hammer everything is a nail.
When you got a cnc, everything gets cnc'd
0.3mm copper sheet heatsink goes on the voltreg fet.
Step-up to clear that tiny coil thingy.

The FlipSky motors are 160KV and with the EBay ctlrs at full throttle I get 5300rpm.
Battery voltage 33.1v times 160 is 5296rpm. Pretty cool how that works out,
means the ctlrs are ok I guess.
The cast ally propellers are out of balance but I know a guy with a 3D printer
so will end up printing different styles of prop.
Motor mounts have been cnc'd and will get welded together after fitting them to the hull.
