Hi,

Anyone done any conversions on a Scott Big Ed fatbike? Can't find much information on it, especially looking if a BBS02 or BBSHD will fit on the bottom bracktet.

I didn’t know. I’m learning lots. I found this article explaining why a bafang mid drive motor won’t work on this bike. Not just the lack of threads, but also too small diameter in the BB.

Unless you are aware of an obstruction protruding inside the BB shell, there should be no reason a BBSHD wouldn't fit. Press-Fit BB shells are actually larger than threaded (BSA) shells. Lekkie offers adapter rings to shim-down the hole to fit a BBSxx. 2667AD5A-5058-4EB3-A078-84136B5FC369_1_105_c.jpegIf your BB shell is 121mm wide you could easily sand or file a half mm off each side, if you had to. I suspect that the 120mm BBSHD might fit, even without modifying the shell length.

I haven't tried these adapters yet but I have a Press Fit 92mm bike and a Lekkie kit to install a 68/73mm BBSHD. Waiting to order the motor...
