Hello I wanted to test the TSDZ8 TongSheng engine on my Commencal Meta HT but the original 44T chainring is too large do you know if the TSDZ2 models are compatible with the TSDZ8?
Sorry for my english
Thank

ive scrolled through facebook group tsdz8, and ive seen 1 or 2 posts where people use bbs01/bbs02 chainrings. those might be compatible, i cannot confirm 100% though.

oh really... that sucks. i was under the impression that it would work, according to some post on italian ebike forums, they posted a pic and the holes seem to line up

Another late one to the party:

The spider from the link above seems to be a great product, but it is also prohibitively expensive especially because you need to order some more parts (longer bolts etc) + shipping. It costs almost half the price of the total tsdz8 motor kit that you can buy on ali for some 200 euro during sale.

So for those who can diy a bit with a drill and dremel:

I can confirm that the default bbshd 130bcd spider on ali does NOT FIT the tsdz8 motor. But the good news is that you can make it fit by shaving some metal of the edges and drilling a set of new mounting holes. Also (just like the official ebikestuff kit), for optimal offset you need to replace some bolts in the motor casing for shallower ones and also use 1 step wider chainring bolts. 38t is the minimum chainring size. You need to widen/chamfer the holes on the chainring a bit, so that the ‘nuts’ of the chainring can fit flush with the surface. I did the whole process myself with basic tools and it was doable. You end up with the same clearance and dimensions as The official one. I hope the attached pictures speak for themselves.

Yeah, BBS02 does not line up with this. I have an adapter and had to drill it out twice and will have to use bolts and washers.
It's close, but not close enough.
Here's to hoping it isn't all whompity.
Got the chainring on the other side and backwards and maybe that will give me 1 lower gear.
No illusions on getting past 3rd from lowest at all. If I do and nothing crinks up, I'll be happy.
Whatever the cluster is, 3rd from lowest is acceptable.
Anything less and I'll try to shim the sprocket bolts. Now that's getting into more moving parts..hmm.

Hopefully these holes are big enough. I have to make sure I can make the thing spin before the cover can be put
back on and building continues. Otherwise this thing is scrap.

I wallered it out with a drill, hopefully big enough and it's fairly centered.
Have to make the motor spin 1st. 3 phases and some kinda controller and throttle and battery is the next step.
Then we'll consider Halls.

Installed, thank you to everyone involved.
