Hi, i am currently working on a new e bike build.
Its my first time using a votolo controller, after a long hours of programing i got it to work, after a test drive i mesured the current coming from the battery and only got 33amps ,i set the controller at 80.
I got the controler from amazon, it might have some current limit built in.
Thanks for your help.

I tought i understood the meaning of most of the setting and the more i research the less i understand about the parameter.

Well your doing better than me. When I try to program mine I get the little pop up that says let's open the serial port I click OK but it won't connect. Or atleast I cannot change any settings and I also cannot see anything on the display page. Am I just missing something stupid? I am able to ride the bike but I can't fully charge my battery because it shuts off. Can't use 3 position switch or boost nor can I turn off soft start.

Hi sorry for the late response, you can see in your device manager the com port number, i linked some photo of it. once you know your com number (in my case com9) you will need to change it by left clicking on it and change the number to your port. If it doesn't work try restarting the program and select the port with the little arrow on the right of the com thing. I also linked the most helpful documentation i found on these new version.

Thank you. I believe I have figured out my problem. I thought a usb is a usb, so I just cut a data usb cable and wired it to the controller. So I kept getting a notification saying something like "windows has stopped device unable to identify device " (computers are not my favorite things) I think there is some special identifying information built-in to the usb I am supposed to be using. I plan to attempt to connect a Bluetooth device I have that has worked with other controllers I've used in the past. Hopefully it works the way I think it should lol. Thanks again and I'll report back.
