Found these things today for making batteries without wielding, not sure if they have been around for long and either would work to make an ebike battery with or whether they would be crap and fall apart or melt ,crack or who knows . Just thought I'd share them on here and ask what people with more knowledge of such things might think of them .

Topjasz I known you thought they might be overpriced but have you or anyone else used them will success building a 72volt battery . Do they actually work or not or will they fall apart or melt that's really the questions for me not price at this stage anyway

What are you going to use them for you said it's 72 volt battery what are you going to run with a 72 volt battery what controller what is the amp demand of the controller ? This is the place to start as you much match your components.

999zip999 ,It was only a thought mate to possibly built a battery ones self as these things looked possibly like the easiest thing to put together I'd ever seen that's all . Those other figures you asked about would have been 10 to 15 kw max with with a mobipus or NUC controller max apps what around 150 there about I would think . . All I was really interested to find out was if anyone had actually used them before and were their experiences with them was either good ( they worked fine no problems ) or bad they fell apart or worst they melted that's all no big deal really , more just thinking out aloud more than anything.

For a thousand watt for a thousand watt motor and controller they would melt. You need New cells or automotive grade cells that could already be made in to almost the pack you need with very few modifications. Sounds like you want a electric motorcycle and need a high power large capacity battery so the battery won't self destruct. You're asking about flimsy nickel steel and springs to carry your electricity it will only get hot and melt after a few minutes.

Is best to use A123 cells or Samsung 40t or maybe leaf modules. If you tried to build a battery 72 volt 150 amp controller you need a very strong battery which are expensive.
