4 wheels on each foot (RC motors?), I'd rather have a foldaway electric skateboard, but...

They could of AT LEAST sprung for some semi-pro rollerblader or roller skater to show off the
thingz in the video, the guyz they used in the vid all look like they are a breath away from a serious faceplant or ass slam...

Look to be well constructed can't see them taking off though.

That would be "i-faceplant" that the i-dork had at the i-mall using his i-skates while his i-wife watches.

i-can't stand that i-crap

Lol.

I think it'd be interesting to electrify some of the kiddie roller-skate shoes, but I'd imagine the motor would have to be hanging off the back and the batteries would have to go somewhere else (Built into the pants). Also, given how small the thing would have to be to be "practical", I'd imagine it'd be limited to low powers and I'd only expect something in the 5-10 mph range. However, that still sounds kind of exciting. If the shoes were limited to some low speed, like 6 mph (I walk on average 4 mph), then an "on" and "off" switch is good enough and the kiddie roller-skate shoes have that already figured out. If you need to go slower than the 6 mph or whatever speed, the solution is simple enough - walk. :)

HAHA exactly what a non e-biker mate of mine said when i posted the link to him in MSN
followed by alot of laughter when he watched the video...they aren't practical enough to be popular
add the fact you would get similar excitement from whacking your thumb with a gympie and
i wouldn't be buying shares in the company any time soon...

"..That would be "i-faceplant"..."

and i suspect the prototype was funded by the i-dental association....If you have a weak stomach, dont go to Google image search and look at "faceplant"...there's some gruesome raw meat there. The i-Shoes reminded me of these:
