    Enertrac MHM motor repair

Hi all I recently pulled apart my EnerTrac motor to replace the bearings, which had developed a grumbling. I had a symptom of vibrations that could be felt in the pegs after about 30mph to about 40 then from 55mph onwards. The vibration felt like a resonance. UelJ_UatCQk After pulling apart...

Deep Discharge of LI Ion LMO Cells

All the cells are clamped together so hard to see which is puffed without dismantling the pack. In the end I scrapped all the cells (££) not worth the risk.

Deep Discharge of LI Ion LMO Cells

Unfortunately not, they are out of a Nissan leaf and the datasheet is not publicly available

Deep Discharge of LI Ion LMO Cells

Thanks all Some cells are at 2+ volts, and I suspect those would be OK. Most of the other are at 0.4-0.6volts (due to the way the balancer draws its power) its a bit of a pain! I may drag it out of the garage, to somehwere more safe and see how it goes. Some interesting reading here...

High Voltage high current DC power supply

So far, its still going well! The fan is really really noisy, and even when its 5degrees C, seems to ramp up quickly. I max it out at 25 amps @ 100v (240V input) without any issues.

Deep Discharge of LI Ion LMO Cells

HI all I have a Vectrix VX1 with second gen Nissan leaf cells. Unfortunately, the BMS froze and dragged them down to a very low voltage (pack measures at 40 volts now instead of 150 volts). I can revive these batteries by slowly charging cells groups at 500ma and monitoring the voltage...

Kelly Controller setting at low battery

Yes, you need to set your min voltage setting higher on the controller.

    Motor noise assitance

An update. I did not swap any of the hall wires when I did the phase wire testing. Fany has indicated I should do this as well. When my mental health allows, I will try this.

    Quality of Kelly Controllers

I agree completely. If I set 100% it should allow the maximum rated current of the controller...... not blow up at 65%

    Motor noise assitance

Hi all I have a Kelly KHB on the shelf. I had some time today, so I swapped out the Kls96601-8080i for the KHB. However, I couldn't get it to run correctly. I tried every combination of phase wires but this was the best I could get: https://youtu.be/MKL0c_9dNIM The motor was very grimbly...

Sevcon Gen 4 Size 6 questions

Of course. I run a B2B company and we do not work with businesses below a certain size. I do not expect them to make a product then walk me through how to use, implement and configure it, step by step. Its more about having access to official documentations and a large comprehensive...

Sevcon Gen 4 Size 6 questions

Thank you very much. That is a bit of a shame. You would think they make documentation available to anybody who buys a "dev unit " to potentially use en mass in a finished product. As I have said in the other thread, I think the only way I would entertain this controller, is if I had the...

    50KW controller with field weakening

Fair enough. Its a good price for both the items, but I am in the middle of moving so cannot take a risk on something like that at the moment. Especially considering I have a Kelly KBL sitting around that will likely give me the power levels I want, but without field weakening (and cool throttle...
