Some more photos of controller - I did test the transistors for shorting & they were ok. No obvious damage. I did find that the green power wire to the motor was missing insulation, so I thought that might have been the issue … taped with electrical tape, but that did not change anything!

I had something like this happen - turned out that the connector pins were not connecting properly to the bike. I cleaned the pins on the bike & the battery and that did the trick for me. Does the connector look "sooty"? - That was a clue that things were not connecting well. I'm not an...
