I run full mtn gears , three rings up front with a 22 small.... seven gears in the back on the freewheel off the electric hub ... the climbing gear in the back is 30 something.... pretty decent granny gear ratio :0 I think on my full suspension mountain bike I run a 22 -34 granny gear...
I turned my yuba mundo into an electric assist so I could run both kids to school, pick up 4 large bags of groceries, and head back home with my knees still intact and within the time frame I had to complete everything. Now looking at converting it to a fat tire ( 26 by 3.7), since the back...
BMC controller still sitting in box. I have had no luck getting it to work I assume it must be my hall and or phase wiring configuration but the BMC hub runs fine on the lyen controller and my connections were done as instructed... will diagnose soon. thanks tips ?
No difference with what makes sense to me as a BMC bypass, still won't draw more amps as resistance/load increases be it wind or slight incline, luckily its flat were I use it :) can't spend any more time on this right now and at least it's replacing a car on errands... will bug you later...
Just confirming how my 7 parallel 13 in series relates to my battery set up parameters on my CA V3 input for string numbers ? Thanks thinking 13 didn't want to assume.
Battery Model 48V15T
Voltage (V) 48
Capacity: 15AH
Type: Li-Ion 18650 cells
Brand Name: AODA
BMS Rating: 2C
Size: Triangle...
Appreciate it and agree with those thoughts . I contacted them and offered to buy a new BMS and the response was they would be more then happy to load test it. They also commented the BMS would either work or not work so either 0 or 30 amps and since I tested the system without the CA it must...
I think I have a compromised BMS unit on my CALIBIKE brand battery, since I run a CA v3 can I use its limiting parameters and just bypass/remove the BMS from my battery pack?
I think this has been an issue since day one and I should just have returned it.... thats on me. I believe what it has...
So with that said I also understand I would go back and reset my limiting switch to the max for my hub 27 amps on the CA so I don't fry the hub with potential full power from the battery without BMS .... I set it at unlimited while trying to find the lack of power issue .
As I have said before "I really appreciate everyone and there knowledge",
I am no electrical expert but I think on the original build this is something I missed from Cali bike and has caused all my on and off again issues
controller issues ,
hub working not working then working ,
couldn't...
letter I sent to Calibike
RE: Taking CA out of the loop
Thanks , I have tried that with no difference. I wonder if it has anything to do with the BMS . I was the one who had the cold solder problems at the power wires ( originally from calibike) and on/off switch problems( originally from...
