No doubt they would be the old NiMH. But having extra battery cases I think can be handy and you never know your luck one of the batteries may still be useable. I thought both of mine were stuffed but one at least came back to being at least useful.Still being used but have no idea of the range...

Two batteries makes it more interesting. But $800 is still a bit too much.

7 !! :shock: I've just started changing the controller on the 2nd bike I have after 2 years. The first one is still running well even if the motor does get quite hot at times. The battery did get badly out of balance on one cell but seems to have recovered.
