Hello everyone, I bought a cheap emoto 1.5 ebike on Craigslist but it needs a new battery. I understand it uses 26 volts. Would I be able to use a 36 volt battery with the bike? Will the controller be able to handle 36 volts? Or should I use a 24 volt battery? Thanks.

You should charge whatever the parts cost, then like $40-50 for labor.

3000 watts?. good lord that's a lot of power. At some point that much power is no longer considered an ebike, but rather an e-motorcycle. I'm glad you didn't get seriously hurt.

You could just buy a used ebike on Craigslist and then buy a new battery.. Just a thought.
