Another vote for Edward. I have two of his sensorless controllers and two HS3540 and they are both excellent. One I run at 66.6v in my KMX and the other in my son's bmx at 74.0V both are great fun.

Hi Neil, When I ordered my 12FET controller form Edward I specifically requested the ability do go from 12s to 18s. He put in a jumper wire that I connect when running 12s and disconnect when running 18s. Sounds like you could do something similar or maybe use a switch instead of a jumper.

I will be watching this closely. I like the idea of an rc motor but need stealth and reliability for my commute that's why I went hub motor. I hope you manage to reach your goal of a quiet system!
