    ‘net-neutral load’ electric powered trailer

Also video in action. It looks like there is some sort of cable hook up . . . https://youtu.be/06TFgXvB9bk

    ‘net-neutral load’ electric powered trailer

I am fairly sure it would be easier to use a standard throttle with a long wire. . .but: I have just been reading about this new type of electrically assisted bike trailer, it looks fairly standard apart from the throttle being replaced by a sensor that pushes and pulls, and adjusts speed...

    throttle wiring question

I have found that wiring a resistor in to the signal wire can give a set speed reduction. In some countries this might be a way to make an illegal bike legal. I have deatiled my experinces here: http://dorkythorpy.blogspot.com/2018/07/reducing-speed-of-ebike.html I found a 1.2ohm resistor...

Easiest power loss fix ever... 3spd switch

Thanks guys. I appreciate all of the info, equally from all involved.

Easiest power loss fix ever... 3spd switch

So a 3 speed switch is not a potentiometer? Could you solder a three speed switch to the throttle cables, in order to produce stepped speeds? My bike is too fast so I need to limit the throttle to about 50%. I have looked at a method using potentiometers. Also resistors.

Surge in Voltage - DC to DC Boost Convertor

I have a spare headway cell I am trying to use to power small LED lights. It is a 8amp high power cell, and it is behaving normally. I have connected this to a boost convertor module from ebay a...

    Automatic Phase Wire Configuration

Thanks Amber Wolf. So sorry to be completely thick. Does the learn wire automatically configures the hall settings? . . . . In the listing (which means nothing I suppose) it describes the controller for sensored only.

    Automatic Phase Wire Configuration

Cheers dogman. So this really is down to luck? regarding amperage, this is for a Bafang BPM 500, so not sure if I want to feed it any more. Probably pop it with this one!

    Automatic Phase Wire Configuration

UPDATE: I assumed this controller was automatic, and soldered the wires together with no thought as to order. And it worked first time. So either this controller configures hall settings automatically, or I am 1 in 36 times lucky. :?:

    Automatic Phase Wire Configuration

Is there such as thing as a controller that automatically configures phase wire order? I have a controller where all of the phase wires and 3 of the hall sensor wires are the same colour. . . . Surely a manufacturer would not be this thoughtless if the configuration were not automatic? . . ...

    Limiting Amps to Controller

I think most thing are hard to do, when you are starting out. My electrical knowledge was very low when I started this, and still is fairly low now. I know all you guys on here are tech heads, but I am not.

    Adjustable Voltage Controller

So. I have heard from reading around that a motor have the most torque, at the lowest revs. So, if torque increases with a decrease in speed, then this button could have simply been a speed controller?

    Adjustable Voltage Controller

I have had a look at delta wye, but don't really understand it. I do understand the series parallel concept, but you would have thought that wit even fairly rubbish SLAs, there would have been plenty of amps in series, so the torque increase would not be so noticeable. I appreciate your...
