With a clear head, fully scratched from yesterdays weirdness with the pack. I took out the crazy cell and replaced it because when I would put my probes on it the voltage would jump around a lot and not settle like the other cells do. I think the bms just wasn't able to sense that cell...
I'm individually charging the cells now to ensure they are all the same. I double checked my wiring and the sense wires go up in voltage appropriately when probing in the pins of the connector that attaches to the bms. I'll hook up the big charger and see if that one high voltage cell spikes...
Hi there. I had a bad headway bms so I decided to upgrade the 48v pack to a 60v pack. I ordered 2 bms from Mr. Ping. I wired them up as instructed and I let it charge for 12 hours yesterday and it only got to 70v. The charger goes on then off quickly so it takes forever to charge. I took it...
Mapmyride is the best I've seen for the inclines. Just make sure you map out the incline itself and not do a whole trip. Otherwise it kind of averages the grades instead of telling you what it actually is.
An old racers trick is to take white fingernail polish and put a stripe on the nuts and axle. Then you know if they've moved or not on a quick visual inspection.
Velias, isn't that one of the points of biking? To lose weight? You also need to remember that not everyone is built the same. Some of us are ex football players that were 220lbs with 6% body fat in our prime. Age tends to take it's toll on how well you can keep that up. Take it easy on us...
I weigh more than morph and have bikes that use a 5304 and a 5305 and tow my 35 pound boy. I run at 65 psi with slime liners and tubes and ride through star thistle strewn gravel and bad roads and haven't had a flat in 400 miles so far (knocking on some wood). Mine did cog some initially brand...
I just re-read your weight and at 165lbs you would love the 5304. On rolling hills it doesn't hardly blink as it starts at the bottom of the hill at 33mph and slows to maybe 20mph by the top. A 5305 would work really well too and probably be more efficient for you as well, it just wouldn't go...
pdf, I would recommend the 5304 from ebikes.ca. They currently don't have any 5305s (correct me if I'm wrong here). They could set you up for around 650.00 or so with shipping and you would have reliability for the daily drive and could get away with a quality (headway or yesa) 48v10ah pack...
Hi all. My e-biking got off to a rough start this summer as I dove into this crazy world head first and without a clue. (I'm sure you've seen plenty of use clueless by now). I decided to try a couple of different kits this summer because I didn't think I could afford the pheonix brute kit...
