    Growing pain with ebikes.

Best i've seen is to get UL approval on any batteries. They do testing and will weed out the junk. As for faulty chargers they should also get UL approval along with the BMS.

as i recall, the panic over skin cancer from the sun was when the ozone layer had a big hole in it, and they said it let in too much UV. then they banned R22 to fix it. not sure if that worked?

Experimenting with infrared 250 watt lamp- infrared said to have medical benefits (faster healing)

Good Q :bigthumb:found this " The exact peak varies with filament temperature. The hotter it is, the shorter the peak wavelength. But in any case, the peak is always in the IR region" since i'm using a dimmer, wavelength is longer and varies depending on power. BUT, my #1 source is the early...

Experimenting with infrared 250 watt lamp- infrared said to have medical benefits (faster healing)

Infrared penetrates deep into the body, nearly 2 inches! I had this bulb in a box, made in 1962 by GE. We had several fixtures with 5 bulbs each that baby chicks would crowd under in the winter in NJ. I saved 2 bulbs. measures 260w at 122v. Way too much heat so i'm using a dimmer. 160-190w in...

Lowering my kick scooter by 2 inches.

test ride :bigthumb: installed the rear wheel. put a pin in the front joint, just for a test at 2" deck off the road. NICE RIDE  a luxury ride with 8" wheels, compared to my old scoot with 4" wheels. BUT only 1/2" ground clearance at the front, so i'll be raising the front to 2.5" so...

Lowering my kick scooter by 2 inches.

Found some 1.5" angle steel in my scrap pile. that will be my first test. will drop the rear of the deck from 4" above the road to 2.5". the front wheel will be raised by tilting the folding joint. might not work out, but easy to try. the wheels have LED's that flash when they spin. :bigthumb...

Lowering my kick scooter by 2 inches.

Got 2 free kick scooters on trash day. 8" wheels but has a design defect. The factory took a 4" wheel scooter and put 8" wheels on it, without changing the axle center. So the deck is 4" high instead of 2". so the kids didn't have much fun with it as it is harder to kick than it should be. So i...
