EM3ev vs Luna Batteries and Kits

EM3EV has always been a pleasure to deal with, great products and support too. Just a little far from the States. I personally have had great luck with Luna too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

    Tentative build. Surly Krampus BBSHD

I can vouch for EM3EV being a quality company that stands behind their products. Not sure why they havent responded. I would try again if needed, they are worth the wait. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Best Starter Frame for Bafand BBSHD

I have plenty of opinions. Skip the titanium unless it is a huge diameter tubing and or you are very light. Though resilient with great comfort it is very flexible. Not what you want especially with the added weight of the Bafang and battery. I have my HD Ludicrous on a specialized stumpjumper...

    Eggrider V2 Display

Not sure how I missed this. I have 1 ER I have been using for about a year. I like it alot. The ability to modify profiles and parameters via the phone is excellent. Waiting on my second 1 now. I have 1 on a BBSHD Ludicrous and another on an 02.

EM3ev vs Luna Batteries and Kits

I have purchased BBS02’s, HD’s and batteries from both vendors. I have had good experiences with both also. I have also had problems with a BMS on a EM3EV battery and a controller on a BBSHD from Luna. Neither were within the warranty period yet I received excellent technical support and...

    Bacchetta Giro | BBSHD | 14s7p 35E | 500w PAS

I have one of those recumbents and have thought about putting either my 02 or HD on it. It would be fun and efficient. A little throttle from a dead stop would help the initial wobble ;-) Nice build. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

    Hailong battery in small frame???

I actually have it that way on a Specialized Enduro. It is low and out of the way. You will destroy the Bafang before you will hit the battery. I always thought a battery with a semi circular end that would fit flush against the Bafang would be attractive, low and out of harms way. You will...

Dave's 80:1 RC mid drive kit build log

Dave If I were to desire a better chainline for my application (A 2004ish Giant DH Team 100mm bb). How complicated would it be for me to move the motor driven chain to the outside ring of the bottom bracket sprockets?

Shaft adapter, splined and threaded for freewheel and cog

Look up "thread milling". It allows for some interesting possibilities. Thread mills can start or stop a thread right up to a shoulder. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

New BBSHD, unusual markings, resistance when turning cranks.

That looks nice. I use a mule. Though a decent hydration pack, the waist belt is not enough for the additional weight of the battery. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

New BBSHD, unusual markings, resistance when turning cranks.

I have started to run a battery in my camelbak. Mostly for the stealth of it. I definitely suggest a small backpack over the camelbak I am using. Just need some larger straps and support. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

First Electric Build: Half-Fat 29r Surly E-ECR w/ Bafang BBS

The slightest back pedaling disengages the motor enough for a shift or braking. I do run a shift interrupter though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

New BBSHD, unusual markings, resistance when turning cranks.

I got my HD pretty early in production. I also have an 02. Neither really have much mileage. The 02 has a few hundred and the HD less than 50 or so. I did remove the chain and power from the HD, while rotating by hand I felt no uneveness or binding. It was smooth but did have the small...

Quick drive by with my Nukeproof Tangent

That sounds so promising. I would like a little pedal involvement just for the health of it. Living in the Houston area, climbs arent an issue. I have a 14s5p 14.ah 30q on the way. Was going to use it with a BBS HD, I might have other ideas now ;-) Where do you carry a 24ah pack?
