Durable 10 speed cassette and chain?

I think you are on the right track using the 48T narrow wide. I just used what I had when installing my mid drive (42T steel chainring) to see how it went and quickly realised I wanted a higher cruising speed without using the two smallest cassette cogs. I did the sums and changed to a flat...

    TSDZ2 frame specs?

Mine was bought in the middle of 2019 so think is still what anyone is getting now. At the yellow line the chainstays are 70 mm across to the outside edges and look to be symmetrical on that cyclocross frame. Photo is taken from the top (obviously) but also slightly forward. Trying to show that...

    TSDZ2 frame specs?

This is the only one I ever found. I added the 130mm dimension. Have you seen the TSDZ2 fitting promo video? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NveONkinTb4

Will TSDZ2 or BBS02 fit on this bike?

Looking at those dimensions I would think a BBS01 would bolt straight up so if a standard BBS02 is the same it should fit too.

Will TSDZ2 or BBS02 fit on this bike?

BBS02 with 100mm spindle would probably be ok. Consider using two straight crank arms to bring the Q factor in as small as possible and center the whole thing according to them using spacers both sides. As little as you can get away with on the right and all the rest on the left.

Will TSDZ2 or BBS02 fit on this bike?

TSDZ2 probably not. I have two of these and did a quick measure. From the centre line of the BB measure back 3". If the chainstays (outside) are more than 3" across at this point it won't fit as intended. It will need to be offset to the right which is usually detrimental to the chain line, or...

Will the Nissan Leaf survive ?

I hope the upcoming 400z Proto gets some EV treatment eventually. Maybe PHEV.

Middrive e bike v. car drag race

I expect there are 10s of 1000s of these in circulation, particularly in China where the adult population weigh less (per person). Certainly the TSDZ2 hasn't been engineered for weighty westerners who then choose to fit them to full suspension mountain bikes and go do jumps. I'm 6'1" and 13...

Been happening for over a week but does connect sometimes, like now.

    Split ebike battery

In my 13s3p triangle example earlier I planned it out beforehand as best I could. I wanted to use the pre-formed nickel (with slits) to make the spot welding process less fiddly. In my low amp application I still wanted to have at least two serial connections between each trio of parallel cells...

Mobility Trike Build With Coaster Brake

Despite the oh so regular same old very vocal ones running the TSDZ2 down every chance they get, in certain applications, it is a very convenient easy to like setup. If someone needs to absolutely beat on it, the TSDZ2 is the wrong option. If someone doesn't ride well using the gears, the TSDZ2...

    Split ebike battery

That Malectrics spot welder is the one I bought. It worked fine for me. As an example this is the 18650 (LG MH1 - 3200 mAh) 13s3p triangle shape I made. Bluetooth BMS (~150 x 65 x 12mm) sits along the top where it says 142. You should be able to come up with something in 52V flavour that will...

    A new 700C hybrid 'city-bike' build w TSDZ2

Just weighted my bike (well me then me holding the bike). Difference was 17.8 kg, so just over 39 lbs. Includes mobile phone and lights on the bike, 13s3p shrink wrap battery, but no water. I actually put my batteries together. I've made three. 13s3p in 13x3 oblong configuration. 2nd hand LG...

    A new 700C hybrid 'city-bike' build w TSDZ2

Quite right. I guess the other factor will be how much clearance there is between the dished 42 you have now and the chain stay, and if you go bigger and dished is there enough clearance? I changed my cassette too and the rear derailleur won't work with the 40 or the 35 (they are still clean)...

Put the original 13-26 cassette back on. :)

    A new 700C hybrid 'city-bike' build w TSDZ2

The experts are probably going to tell you that the 11 cog on the cassette isn't going to last so it may still be an option to reconfigure the cassette and move the 11 to the inside behind the 28 to get the 13, 15, 17 further out. On the flat you probably want to set it up so you spent a lot...

bbs02 - what size chainring for my commuter?

I'm using a 54T chain ring on my mid drive kit ebike. While I initially looked at the BBS02 in the end I discovered the TSDZ2 and went with that because of the BB torque sensing feature. I haven't fitted the throttle and just set the desired assist level when turning on and then let gear...

Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5, vlcd6 and xh18

It works well for me too. I've been getting real nice ride and shifting with all your versions. Road use only though and haven't fitted the throttle. It's hard to gauge how much better each version is, but definately I can say that none of them has been a step back. I tend not to excessively...

Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5, vlcd6 and xh18

I only ever did about 30 km before moving to the Marcoq firmware and then on to Ackmaniac soon after and didn't really notice. However I was so impressed with the feel of the TSDZ2 I bought another (48V 500W) motor and put on my wifes bike. It still has the stock firmware and I've just taken it...

Kepler Friction drive comes of age.

Thanks. So the 140KV Motor is actually H6368 which is tight but should still just fit if I've measured correctly. The H6355/6354 are 160KV/220KV. So the 140KV H6368 is the right choice? I'm 185cm, 85Kg, and only wanting assistance with pedaling up to about 40kph. My BB is Shimano 68mm, BC...

Kepler Friction drive comes of age.

I really like the look of this for low assistance on an old 2006 vintage CF road bike I have. Would prefer to use one with a 13s1p 48 volt 18650 battery as that's the voltage my other batteries and chargers are. I'm a bit confused about what motor might be a possible candidate for this or not.

Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5, vlcd6 and xh18

Actually I rechecked this today and I need to correct that. At 35-40 kph at moderate cadence and assist I get more like one full rotation. Yours looks more than that. I'm using a 54T narrow wide chainring. When changing down and slowing to a stop I get virtually no over run. The other day I...

Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5, vlcd6 and xh18

This? Ackmaniacs version uses motor current rather than battery current. https://github.com/AckmaniacSoftware/TSDZ2-Smart-EBike-compatible-with-original-VlCD6-display/network/members I'm using it with original VLCD5 display. I like it but I'm using only on the road, not extreme mountain biking.
