Can I use any type of 36 v battery for this motor? Is there any type of communication between the battery and controller?

    No, from last spring.

    Power consumption sweet spot

I think a mid drive would help if I climb hills at a low speed but I usually climb at high speeds and on good roads, so the gearing of the hub motor almost always fits my speed. No hill can slow down my beast.

    Power consumption sweet spot

Great answers! Thanks you all! I have a PAS assist controller, I use the 300W or 500W assist level depending on inclination, I noticed that when I climb a hill, the motor is more efficient if I keep the bike over like 10 mph, in this way it has higher rpms and better gear advantage, if I sink...

    Power consumption sweet spot

Thanks for the answers! I usually keep a steady 20 mph when I travel. What is your opinion on swtiching from my hub drive to a mid drive in my case? Will it consume less because of gear adjustment? Sry but that grin simulator beats me.

    Power consumption sweet spot

I have a road bike with Mxus 19R 1000w nominal rear hub motor with a 52V battery. I followed ca guy on YT that continues to say that mid drives are much more effective at low speed because of the gearing range. My motor has a reduction gear with a ratio of 1:5.8 with a 28 inch wheel and peaks...

    Mxus kit failure

They will full refund the burned 40A controller, I`ll order a 45A one and limit the power to 85% or so, to be sure it won`t burn again.

    Mxus kit failure

nope, the motor is geared with clutch, and spinning backwards seems normal, no bigger resistance

If I unplug the motor, it gives me the hall sensor error, like it does not find the motor.

    Mxus kit failure

When C5 setting is 10, maximum current value is controller maximum operating current value (ie, limit current value); when setting is 9, maximum current value divided by 1.10, when setting is 8, maximum current value divided by 1.15 and so on. When C5 is set to 0 the maximum current value is at...

    Mxus kit failure

After a long ride, I let the bike in the rain overnight, the controller was in a waterproof bag and I also put isolation over the connections, idk if that was enough. After that night, I took the bike for a ride, I modified a setting on the KT display in order to test it, I put the C5 on 0 from...

    Mxus kit failure

voltage doesn`t drop, the battery is ok. I hope the halls are ok, this motor si quite rare and hard to get parts, especially on this pandemic. I`ll wait until my friend finds out the problem, he knows this stuff.

    Mxus kit failure

Video: https://youtu.be/ME55fRvkibY The video says it all: I hit the gas and the motor only gives a shock. I have over 600 km on it and worked perfectly. I took the bike for a ride, worked well, and after some time, it stopped and gave me the short circuit error on the display. Fortunately I...

    Wattage display good or not

Hi! I just bought and installed a 52v 40A ebike hub motor kit: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000836440793.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.77b94c4dpxrRYM It works awesome, but something seems not right. Normally it should peak at 2000 watts, but on my display(KT LCD8H) it shows me only 1000 to...

    18650 Samsung 33G vs 35E

I got an ebike kit with a 52V battery with Samsung 33g cells. I am looking for another 52v battery and I am wondering if would be better to invest a bit more money in the one with 35E cells. What are the differences between these two cells? Okay I got the obvious longer range with the 35E, but...
