    TSDZ2 wobble and creaky pedals

Sorry for the redundancy, but I need some photos of exactly how to go about changing these bearings. Does anyone have a link to good reference on my next steps? It looks like I'll need a special tool to get that ring off like a retaining ring pliers.

    TSDZ2 wobble and creaky pedals

Murca where anything goes. I agree about the torque sensor is why I got this mid drive. I didn't even install the throttle - just have the smaller more discrete screen. I should get the bearings today, so we'll see how it goes after this.

    TSDZ2 wobble and creaky pedals

Yeah sometimes the tsdz2 seems so much trouble. I thought I could be a hobbyist but after sinking time into these, sometimes I feel like I made the wrong move. It's become a little bit of a time sink and at this point I just want a working bike. Are there any other bottom bracket mounted motors...

    TSDZ2 wobble and creaky pedals

Thank you both! I can't tell if it's the actual pedals creaking. Both of them are old 90's treks so perhaps they have cracked BB shells. I found this site for bearings which are a little more expensive than some sites so not sure if they're worth it: Online Store Ball Bearing Supplier...

    TSDZ2 wobble and creaky pedals

The locknut continues to loosen. After every few rides it gets loose enough that the motor sways from side to side a little. I have to tighten the locknut with my hand. Also, the pedals seem to creak when I put pressure on them. I don't know if this is a specific pedal issue or related to the...

Tongsheng - chain slipped off now too much resistance and can't pedal

Thank you for confirming this issue. I haven't had the chance to go to the lbs yet to use their cassette removal tool. I did notice that when riding in the smallest two cogs, there will sometimes be skipping - like you mentioned under torque. I hope I didn't damage the motor after I rode it...

Tongsheng - chain slipped off now too much resistance and can't pedal

Really, I think the teeth look fine. I replaced the cassette less than a year ago and I didn't even ride it over winter.

Tongsheng - chain slipped off now too much resistance and can't pedal

Thank you amberwolf for all the time and effort you've spent on helping me troubleshoot. I put the motor back on and fortunately it powers on. I'm glad I didn't muck anything up there :) So I found the probably issue and I think I can rule out the motor fortunately. I really hope I don't have...

Tongsheng - chain slipped off now too much resistance and can't pedal

It's the rear wheel that's not rolling. It's the same case when upside down and when I manually rotate. I can rotate the rear wheel with some applied force but it stops abruptly meaning it's not possible to let the wheel spin freely. I'm not sure what you mean by what other part of the bike...

Tongsheng - chain slipped off now too much resistance and can't pedal

Sorry if that wasn't clear. It was actually a crank that came loose last fast that I fixed right away. Hi again Chalo. The chain fell off the front ring toward the frame of the bike. So I believe you saw my comment on another thread about trying to get some screws off the motor housing as a...

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Thanks for the reply. I removed the motor off the bike just now because I don't think I would've been able to get to one screw. I got a dremel and tried to cut into the screw. I unfortunately cut into the metal surrounding the screw area as well. I feel so incompetent with this stuff. I had the...

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Thank you for this description on how to get out these screws. I saw on another forum that this is somewhat of a common issue. Did you completely remove the motor from the bike when you did this? I currently have mine still on the bike but feel like it may be a little easier to work on it with...

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I just took it to a local bike shop. The guy used a JIS impact driver tool. He was able to get one out. Now I have two left. He kind of left me feeling like there's not much luck I have getting them out at this point. He said to go get a dremel tool and cut a slit so I can use a flathead...

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

There are four screws that are really hard to get off. One seemed to come off with little effort. Now the other three are stripped. I can't believe this but these little screws are stressing me out. I spent so much time putting this bike together last summer and this is the last thing I wanted.

So did you have to replace the blue nylon gear?

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I'm trying to figure out if I'm having the blue nylon gear issue. I just brought my bike out as it sat in the basement for the winter. The first ride was smooth but today's second ride the chain fell off the front ring. After the chain was set properly back over the front ring, I noticed...

Tongsheng - chain slipped off now too much resistance and can't pedal

I'm having an issue with my TS ebike conversion. I did this last year and it was riding fine. I just brough it out as it sat in the basement for the winter. The first ride was smooth but today's second ride the chain fell off the front ring. After the chain was set properly back over the front...

Upgrade brakes and running shifter cable under Tongsheng mid drive motor

I have a new problem with my bike. While I was riding my left crank arm starting coming loose. I stopped and found that the crank was wobbly and the bolt had become undone. I got home and I tightened it again. When I tried turning the crank arms now they were too stiff to hardly spin. I was able...

Upgrade brakes and running shifter cable under Tongsheng mid drive motor

Two more issues came up with my bike. One, I'm still having some issues with the creaks from my bike. I've identified it as coming from around the crank or around the bottom bracket where the Tongsheng is mounted. If I ride with no assist on a flat surface it seems like there's no sound coming...

Upgrade brakes and running shifter cable under Tongsheng mid drive motor

You were right it was the high limit screw. Hey once again Chalo thank you so much for all your help you've provided! I really appreciate all the time you've taken to answer all of my questions! One more off topic question. I just discovered someone at some point tried to cut through my U lock...

Upgrade brakes and running shifter cable under Tongsheng mid drive motor

I got the wheels you suggested and installed it with the spacer they included. It looks like they included a 4.5mm spacer instead of a 4mm. I was able to fit a 3mm allen key between the highest cog and the chainstay. When I took it out for a test spin all the gears shifted great and stayed...

Upgrade brakes and running shifter cable under Tongsheng mid drive motor

Hi Chalo, I'm grateful for your recommendation. Sorry if my question came across negatively. I'm finding all these decisions to be difficult especially when I only paid $100 for the bike initially. I basically had to replace every component on it so I guess the wheels would almost be the last...

Upgrade brakes and running shifter cable under Tongsheng mid drive motor

I'm wondering what's the point of upgrading to a new set for about $220 vs just going to a LBS to get a singled used rear wheel for $30-50?
