I've been trying search on the forum but am having trouble finding what I'm looking for.

I've got an adapto mini-e so I can charge from a regular psu, but its the specs I'm looking for that have been tricky. Most threads are about how to get monster 3000w chargers setup, or running off 220v to get maximum throughput.

I'm looking for a 48v 1000w charger that can be run on a standard 110ac outlet. I need to buy 2 chargers, 1 for work and 1 for home. Its been tricky to find a 48v psu that runs on 110ac in that range. fyi my battery is 72v22ah of 18650 25r cells (around 1500ish wh)

Basically I'm trying to keep the chargers cost down. One option has been to carry around a Eaton APR48-3g charger. But I'm not sure I want to add more weight to my bike (between the charger and my adaptto 70a coil (I bought the 70 when the 30 would have done fine..oops) its gonna be 4-6lbs I think.

any options any of you know of for a 48v 1000w psu that runs on 110ac? $250 for a meanwell isnt bad, but I just dont want to have to buy 2 of them lol.

Questions: if I'm going in the range of a 1000w charger, how low is too low for voltage? ie, if I find a 12V or 24V charger with high enough amps to get to 1000W does that work? I know higher voltage is more efficient, but just how low can I go before heat is going to be a problem at that charge rate?

cheers

3 of these?

Combined with one of those 24v/48V nice cheap server supplies. Bonus is the ability to readout Ah, A, V, etc.

Actually, I bought one of the dc-dc converters. Don't bother. :?

thanks for the heads up. Guess I could go for something like this at work. its rare that I'm here for less that 6 hours anyway, so at 600w this should only take 3-4 hours to charge my pack
