Greetings all,
Can't keep all the EV fun to myself so just finished putting a bike together for my son.

Started as an Ebay purchase of:
2011-08-28 17.09.50 (Medium).jpg

Then came a MXUS DD kit from cell_man. Much thanks must go to Paul for helping sort through the options of drives and having the MXUS laced into a 20" rim for me. Also for going through the options with axle spacing as well. Thanks heaps!
Battery power from 4x 5s 5Ah turnigy lipo cells providing 37V10Ah of fun. Cells were mounted in hard protective cases within the frame of the 'tank' of the bike giving two levels of protection from impact.

Needless to say the EV grin of a 9yo boy is quite large :D

Now he has a bike to match his sisters converted quad bike. A 50cc stink bike converted by replacing ICE with 350W 24V brushed motor with 24V26Ah of lead. Needs the weight of the lead to keep the front down.
Although we live in the 'burbs we have a small country property used a weekender. Didn't want the noise of 2stroke oil burners around the place but a boy (and girl) need something to ride. Problem solved.

Cheers all,
Glenn
