so i'm thinking of getting a new version of the yescomusa motor kit, this one has holes for disc brakes.

and i'm thinking of getting avid bb7 200m rotors for it.

i emailed the seller and he said the motor hub can fit 140mm or 160mm rotors.
I thought as long as there are holes on the hub for disc brakes, you can fit any size rotors there? 200mm rotor needs different size screw holes than 160mm?

this is news to me...I wanted to know if anyone knows if its possible

Don't know the answer to your question....I am sure a call to the LBS will answer that, but, does your frame have a maximum rotor size tolerance? Will that 200mm rotor fit your frame with the hub motor attached?

Me thinks, if you want that kit, (it is a good price!) then get the motor kit before you buy the rotor kit and once the hub motor is in your frame, see what clearances you have.

:D

k Thanks, i'll probablt check the motor or buy it before i buy the rotor kit. If anything, 160mm is still good enough. maximum rotor tolerance, i have no idea lol

You'll likely find that your motor (more specificially, the screw-on rotar adapter) does not have a standard 6-bolt ISO pattern, but something slightly bigger. So the rotor that comes with the motor fits, but the upgraded one won't. You'd need a different threaded adapter (specialist but available online) or need to slot the holes in your new rotor (pain in the backside).
