That vehicle would do >5,000miles/charge using the battery in my Zero SR.

Amazing what aero and low frontal area can do.

That's pretty cool, Doc!

Difficult to find any more details on this amazing effort,..other than simple results.
Any one have clues as to tech details, ...... Average speed ? Weight ? CD, Frontal Area, ? Batteries ?, motor ?

Looks like they put all their efforts into their vehicle, didn't waste anything on public documentation/social media/PR. Good on them!

Category Prototype Battery Electric; There don't seem to be any restrictions other than safety and they have to design & build their own controller.

That's amazing!! I thought I was doing well with 5wH/km :/

Shame about the lack of documentation although I understand why they wouldn't want to share all their secrets, there is a lot of money involved in eeking out the last few wH/km of efficiency.

There is quite a lot of info available in the form of thesis reports etc. online if you search for Eco-marathon design briefs though

My team unfortunately isn't able to compete in the Shell Eco-marathon as we're not an education institution but as of last week we managed to achieve 4.4 wH/km doing 45 kph (29 mph) and still have a few more improvements to come.

I don't think we're going to be able to get down to 1.37 Wh/km but using a 5.5 kWh battery pack, we should be able to beat this record;

Note: I'll start a new thread once we've got the record attempt details finalised but I thought this was the best place to post for now....
