i built this jump starter pack last year. basically i spot-welded nickel strips then soldered 10ga copper wire on top. but is there a better way?

this pack works btw, has saved my ass already that one time at the airport. i'm just asking because i need to build another one, hopefully w/ lower resistance connections if that's even possible w/ the common hobbyist methods. needless to say i can't weld copper

That's a great build actually.

Since nickel is much easier to solder vs steel, and it harms the cells way less, what you are doing is great.
