Battery not charging BMS voltage lower than battery total

@docw009

I have the same Luna charger (52volt mini), and it had the same problem...

The fix involves a NTC 2.5D-15 in series with the power output line that Luna put in a small housing with connectors, that you can put inline between the chargers XT60 output connector, and the barrel battery connector adapter. I elected to install it in the charger itself...

Email support@lunacycle.com with your order number, perhaps they'll fix you up.

Sorry for the slight drift...

I'm picking up a genuine iMax B6 charger tomorrow. Having never used a hobby charger I suspect it'll be a big learning curve to get going.

My plan is to balance each bank of 13 cells to 4v (as they are near this currently) by manually plugging 2 pins into the balancing port connector of each bank and so on. Then finally finish the charge with the main charger set to 54.5v. I'll then check each bank is equal, while its charging too and once fully charged test the load/capacity of these batteries before spending any money on BMS's.

Can anyone with more experience see any major flaws in this plan? I don't mind it being time consuming as I'm learning as I go.

Just to update, it was the BMS's that had failed across all 3 batteries. Replaced two of them and they have been working well.
