Chain wear between BMX chain versus #35 chain

everything else being equal, same tooth counts, same brand/grade KMC chain, etc

to be used on a BHT motor mid-drive

which chain is gonna wear out faster?

i'm thinking the BMX is gonna wear out faster? coz it's bushingless i.e. smaller bearing surfaces

I thought #35 was bushingless as well. Maybe just depends on the manufacturer.

i believe the early bicycle chains had bushings as well, until the wider side flex of bushingless made it standard for derailleur bikes


BMX (#410) chain has slightly fatter pins. but #35 has wider rollers, plus full-width bushings

Use smaller pitch chain than 1/2" like: #35, 219H, 06B-1
Use as many tooth on small sprocket as you can.
