clicking noise in eZee hub motor

My Ezee motor has developed a different type of clicking problem. On initial launch when the motor/controller give a hard push(more like a kick), the motor makes a single loud kick and then the bike accelerates normally. Sometimes it makes two successive clicks.

I run it at 52V with an Infineon (Lyen MKI) controller. Oh and I've filled the motor half full with ATF fluid (Mobil 1, and I've done one oil change).

Any ideas that will save me from having to open the motor?

Stig, did you find the cause of the noise?

I think its the freewheel, I'm not sure... it was happening because the infineons like lyen mk1 are so twitchy that they suddenly give full power at low rpm which hurts the motor and makes the rider feel unstable. So I added one of ZombieS's throttle tamers, it seems like it will do the trick, once I get the bike up and running.
