Eurobike moves to Trade only for 2018

FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, Germany (BRAIN) — Eurobike organizers have announced new dates for the 2018 trade show. Eurobike will move earlier in the year, kicking off on Sunday, July 8, and it will be exclusively for trade visitors, eliminating its consumer festival days.

Next year, Eurobike will remain in its usual timeframe, Aug. 30 to Sept. 2, with three days only open to trade visitors, followed by one consumer day on Saturday. It will also retain the demo areas outside of the "B" hall. Eurobike immediately announced that it would go back to one consumer day after the show this year, which expanded to two consumer days.

Organizers have not decided whether the 2018 trade show will offer three or four days for trade visitors. They said that will be determined closer to show time and after surveying exhibitors further. Eurobike conducted an extensive survey after the show this year, asking about dates, consumer days, and other topics.

Maybe ebikers could "pick up the slack" with an EVent for the pubic... "Woodstock" 2018, anybuddy in the EU? 2018. The Summer of Love for electric traction.

there are two different problems for eurobike,

1) Eurobike is much to big with the consumer, as you know it is with distance the biggest Bicycle show in the world and it simply to big. The manufacturer say we only need max three days, five days is not efficient for us and we get bored by consumer question.

2) there are several bike shows in europe, smaller as eurobike of course but maybe you can focus better on the thing´s you really looking for and not get hit by 20000 different product´s

So, any fields suitable for a three-four day outdoor EVent? At woodstock an estimated 400,000 folks descended from... somewhere/all over. Could have some musical acts but also ebike racing? Showing off... and stuff. Tents for retailers...Food and drink... places... Showers and toilets. Medical aid services. Lessee... a long weekend in the summer, 2018. So, May 21 (a Monday) as Whit Monday, a National holiday in Germany? ... and for France as well? And in the UK?

Any retailers (and/or anybuddy) wouldn't need to stay the whole 3-4 days, but could come any day and stay as long as they like.

EDIT: Given that the Ebike Nation is a global thing, could coordinate the same EVent all over... in the USA... and China... and Australia... and... and... and... and link up via the Great Woo-Woo-Woo/internet?
