Is there a way to figure how fast the X5304 in 24" wheel will go at 48 volts ?

Just remember that is no load speed. Actual on road speed will be 3-4 mph. slower.

Well, no, it's more complex than that.

The actual speed will be where the available power out from the motor matches the drag+friction.

In my case (a geared motor) the no load speed is 80km/h. The actual max speed is 55km/h. This is the point where the available power is exceeded by drag/friction.

You need an available 1500w or so to go 55km/h.

So you combine the ebikes.ca simulator with a cycling power simulator.

Aha ! Thanks for that.. I don't want to steer people wrong. That must be why it is closer at slower speeds ..wind and friction.

hey if nascar can use duct tape then it must be good enough for a ebike.

When used on race cars its not called duct tape, its called 'race tape' (in OZ anywayz)

Here in Canada I took my roll of tape to the paint shop and had them mix paint match to it before I painted my race car... its nice to have your spot repairs blend in at the end of the week-end.

^^^ LoL thats cofindence your not going to wreck the car

Duct tape is available in over 30 different colours so i guess at least you had a nice colour range to choose from
even seen camouflaged duct tape the digital camo doesn't look too bad either hahaha...DuctorBass should
redo his bike with it to increase the urban stealthiness

maybe dogman can read faster than me its taken me more hours to read so much info
lol my eyes get tired reading so much
we should get this bike into the death race
i am sure since he is used to riding at higher speeds he could be a good match for the ice bikes
sure would like to hear more about handling issues at higher speeds
front shock stuff

OMG He's got .net and .com Damn

he has been uploading hundreds, maybe thousands, of videos under different account names.... :(

This wasn't me. I have affiliates who promote my book for a commission and one of them went a little overboard. His account has been suspended. :D

Hi Greg.

I am in Ireland, I bought your book{s} and have found them most helpful, I am currently building 2 bikes based on your suggestions, with some slight variations. Both are A123 based, 15Ah and 10Ah respectively.

One minor problem I did have with your book was that the practicalities of cutting angles into wood, especially with a hand-saw, were not too-well explained.

I have zero carpentry experience. I have been having some success but only because I keep trying and sometimes get lucky.

Right now I would like if you could flesh out the measuring and cutting of the cross-piece which is inserted into the lower part of the box to strengthen it before part of the lower box is cut out to make room for the cranks.

Also, what teeth:ratio did you settle on for the rear freewheel: single speed.

Thanks.
