Fiber optic uses for EV?

I found these cheap at a local B&M store.
Any ideas on how to use them for power transmission or any other uses?
Does it require some specialized equipment(i.e. pricey) to make your own cable?

Fiber optic cable can only transmit light.

You could use it as a signal wire, but you still need to run power to the other side;
You need an emitter and receiver and both need their own power sources.

Also the cables are quite fragile and you need a pretty spendy splicer to get them working proper with an emitter and reciever.

Maybe you could use them for decorative purposes somehow.
