Ummm.. Started out in Victoria BC Canada, then sta
Looking like GM motors found a great way to simplify the "so many great options" to build your ebike.
Let's make it simple and easy: hub only, 250 to 1000w
Simple enough ?

The product is great I bought the kit and was easy to install. But why have 2 websites http://www.goldenmotor.bike/ https://www.goldenmotor.ca/ one is good one is s#@t they offer free shipping but still charged for shipping, I had to get in touch with http://www.goldenmotor.com/ for support because this seller would not help. http://www.goldenmotor.com/ was very helpful. When I called him direct on the phone he said I had to go to the site and fill out a ticket for support (tickets did not work no help offered) he did not even know what site to send me to for get the help. He said he has a couple sites and it gets confusing?????? If you buy the vector you have to drill out your rotors and find M6 bolts as stock are M5. The product is great they stock all kits and spare parts, but I recommend http://www.goldenmotor.com/ .

LockH I do apologize for the rant.

Hehe... `Tis OK... Personally have always found Gary S. to be "one of the good guys"? Gotta say though, that "goldenmotor.bike" site (versus the .ca site) DOES seem an... odd thing?

... just checked the site for the Toronto Electric Riders Assoc.:
https://www.meetup.com/Electric-Bic...ds="goldenmotor.bike"&search_forum=&op=search

... and search for "goldenmotor.bike" DOES currently list "128 posts were found", with the first page of results about ALL posts FROM Gary himself? So he certainly doesn't hide the fact? (Although I've always thought of him as just GM.CA...

So, good find! ... I guess... and I'll try and remember to ask him/report back here on ES, when next I see him!

Anyway... About the range of powers/choices... I'll guess the "most powerful" intended for "off road" purposes.

EDIT: Pic seen on the .bike site listing BOTH .bike and .ca:

I think the part that frustrates me the most is I really like the product lol, if I hated it I would pissed for 5 min and move on.

Yeah !

Even for those who like 1000w
They just happen to like weak ´n wimpy
It is OK to ride weak ´n wimpy
But liking it doesn't make it any less
Weak ´n wimpy

A 500W and 1KW hubs is perfect for the real legal ebikes not the ones you build that go 35+ mph. Those arent nothing more than unlicensed scooters or motorcycles. And I prefer EM3ev controllers over stock controllers no matter which hub I buy but my first foray into hubs was a GM kit and I enjoyed it.

I have to retract this rant but I will not delete it. I ran into trouble with my controller and found myself on the Golden Motor forum posting for help.

Well I got that help and it was great I posted testing and was given testing suggestions on the forum that lead to an exact diagnosis.

I made a ticket and the thread was fallowed by Gary S and we messaged on the ticket as well. Once a good diagnosis was made he sent a new controller and was here in 24hr. He also sent a throttle that I did not need in case that was part of the issue. I will send the throttle back likely. I will also buy another kit as the tunable controller and motor are great. I took the bike to biggest hill in town and with the controller set low at 20amps (will go to 30amps) it climbed the hill with ease without pedalling to help. With the bike turned up, 40mph on a 114lb bike and 210lb rider so it is very off road capable to my surprise. This is the Magic Pie 5 Vector Black.

Crow not too bad but feathers get stuck in my throat. https://goldenmotor.com/SMF/index.php?topic=6222.0

He said he has a couple sites and it gets confusing?????.

Its known as Link Farm. Adding pages that point back to the domain name to boost Google ranks via Pagefiles. That's why it comes to the top of google in many E bike searches.

Its on the right side of Google's gray area. Barely.
