home made e-bike frame. stealth fighter look a like

hi,
@chuenchco thanks i will measure the diameters tomorrow.
and do you know if the headtube of a standard cheap bike like my cannondale wil fit a downhill fork?

also i am thinking of ussing a strong 45kmh, 4000w ,48v ,14 inch scooter wheel with a original kelly 6000w controller.
and drilling the rim from the motor and to put spokes truw it an lace it in a n20 inch wheel or so. from a dirt bike or so.
and then using 36v so the bike won't go 80 kmh'.

now i only have a 48v chonismotor with a golden motor 24v till 48v programmable controller. :|
i am thinking of buying a 72v controller and charger from China (greenworks)

i already have 52 headway 10 ah cells to be configured in 72v 20ah or 36v 40 ah.

any advice?
just some thoughts. :)

thanks

My head tube has an inner diameter of 34mm. The headset fits into it nicely. I am not an bicycle expert, but this should be the normal size for mountainbikes.
I also have headway cells. However 52 cells sound like a lot. Do you have space for all them? The weight of 19kg is also to consider.

hi
right now i have a 72v 20ah pack the same as in the stealth bomber. also a 10ah 12v pack for boost or extra 12v items.
and i have made the frame around the battery pack so it wil fit for sure.

A seperate 12V battery needs to be recharged as well and is unnecessary weight when the lights are off.
You might consider installing a DC/DC converter.

yes that is correct it just extra at the moment.
but here are some new picture's of the roling frame.

The main frame looks good mate just add some gussets to the front steer tube and bottom corners :D

Swing arm also might need triangulation to make it stronger and less flexy 8) check out the work by drunk skunk and his Monster bike

thanks jesse.
but al the bombers and fighter have it this way so i also want it :)
i have used thicker steel than the monster bike for the rear swing arm.
so it wont flex
and yes is have read his thread verry nice bike!!

hi
i did some more work today.
first some welding and grinding.

still need to find a way to clean the gaps where i can't come with the grinder.
i thing i need to borrow a small air grinder. now way i am going to file that down.

that was it with the steel work next reply wil be about the wheels and stuff.

now some idea's of the wheel size.
i have 2 chinees dirtbike's and one isn't done so i borrowt the wheels for my ebike.
becouse maybe i going to use a 14 ich scooter wheel as rear wheel.
so thats why i used the rear wheel because that is the same size as the scooter wheel with a dirtbike tire.

that was it for today next week i will search some metal/aluminium/plastic for the side covers. still not sure what to use.
and i hope i will find some copper sheet +-1mm for making the connection for the battery cells.

see you soon

ps: let me know what you tink of it and give me some advice for the scooter hub :D

i appreciate that.

hihi forgot some thing.

the bottom crank
for the foot peds.
how do i make this? the crank is now 12mm wide.
and in need them further appart.
alt least 15cm from each other. so i can peddle past the frame.
i am thing of making for 2 bottom cranks 1 crank and to make it shorter like 18cm.
other wise i need to make a new axle with a milling machine. (alot of work. :? )
but i think that is a bit to wide to pedle.

someone any smart idea's ?

here some pixtures of the complete bike.

ps: i will sell the orange set (32 spokes) of wheel for just a from wheel with 20mm true axel.
i wanted to have the same rims on the rear as on the front but chaged it becouse the wheel has 32 spokes and a hub motor has 36 spoke holes. :x

als fixed a bearing set in the steering tube.

here is one video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P7Fc2nykZ9E&feature=youtu.be

and also the max speed i have tested with only a front brake :? was 71kmh... i like it

did some riding to day (15km) and rode up the steepest "mountain" we have around here.
did verry well only the part where i also can't climb it with my normal mtb. the e-bike also couldn't climb it..
but for the rest it did go verry wel.
i only need to move the rear brake to my steering bar.

then i would say it quite good even on verry hard climbs my mxus 3000w V1 doesn't get warm. also the alluminum side panel acts great as a heatsink the plate was nice hand warm after some good climbing.
i also solderd a bit on the lyen 18 fet.
