How to derestict Phantom X controller

Has anyone tried to either reprogram or rewire the stock controller that comes with the Prodeco Phantom X with the 500W motor or a compatible controller that could be easily switched out. It would be nice if it would go a little faster as it is a very capable direct drive motor. Thanks

Why do you think the controller is "restricted" in any way? It's possible of course but usually a Manufacturer will simply choose a motor winding that delivers the desired speed for a given battery voltage. If that's the case then the only way to increase speed is to increase the battery voltage, assuming the controller can handle it.
