This project was pretty easy and a lot of fun! After all my lurking on Endless Sphere, I wanted to thank everyone for giving me the motivation to do the conversion!

I tried to do a blog post and quick video of the installation process in case it helps anyone else with this kit. I'll admit I forgot to put the washer on before the freewheel the first time and then had to go buy a 9/16" drill bit to drill out the removal tool...

I went with a 52V 13.5ah bottle battery with Panasonic NCRB cells and so far it's been amazing!

Nice ride, I love my magic pie,

Thanks! So far so good! I bought a side-mirror for it yesterday, so I need to install that. I would like to swap out the crankset for a single-speed chainring at some point since I removed the 3-speed shifter. And I'm hoping to order the bluetooth adapter soon, but so far the USB programming cable has worked well enough. I was pretty nervous about the whole process, but (for my bike at least) it was very simple to install and get setup even though I knew nothing about bikes before I started researching kits.

If you go with the larger (52V) bottle battery, be sure to measure your frame and make sure that it'll fit. There are a few types that will fit there that are different sizes (bottle, dolphin, shark, etc).

What sort of performance numbers are you getting, like level mph?
