Hi everybody

I have been reading this forum for quite a while but this is my first post.

I live in London (UK) and just bought a bbs01 250w . Didn't go for the BBS02 because I wanted it to be legal ( e.g. have the 250w stamp on the bottom of the motor, in case they stop me).
I pedal a lot on 10 miles commute to work ( 20miles in total).I got a 48 teeth chainring with the kit and an Alfine 8 on the bike.

Did anyone have experience in running a BBS01 with a higher voltage battery than 36v nominal? I am tempted to buy a 48v but I am not sure if the bbs01 would be happy with that.

Thanks in advance.

Exactly as Nobuo says, you can't use a higher voltage. Mind you, I don't think you'd need to. The 250W has quite a bit of poke - I use one for a 40 mile round trip commute into London (build thread here). Reprogramming the motor can make it both more natural to use and more powerful if you need to.
