My Stealth Bomber - now with 130km range

New challenge Mark, find the steepest road within an hour of Sydney and we're more likely to make this happen.
The blue mountains could be a good option and once I get my raptor finished I'm keen to head up there in any case for a day trip to start exploring new territory.

Yah Mark, the blue mountains. Like I know what that is. But hey, I want to see the video that come out of this contest :D

When I showed my dad pics of the grand canyon after my first trip to the US he said "bah, that just looks like the blue mountains with no trees"
It's a dump of a place, hardly worth taking pictures really :p

Maybe there are some steep firetrails or other backroads to be found in the Blue Mountains. Otherwise traffic isn't always the best especially on weekends. There is Barrengarry Mountain, a bit more than an hour away, starting from Kangaroo Valley, the ascent is 6.3 km long, climbing 536m. Average is 8.5 %. Max is 25%. Rated 20th most difficult climb in Australia AND 2,944th in the world :)

Let me guess, they are called Blue Mountains because they look...blue? Your dad is correct, like the Grand canyon with trees. By any chance, has closer hill climb within an hour of Sydney been identified yet?

Best I can find 114 km from the CBD.

Saddleback Mountain - Fountaindale Rd from Jambaroo
5 km, Average 10%, Maximum 24% grade, 501m ascent

Hi Everyone....hope not to break any rules posting in here....I have a Bomber in Mexico, how much money did you invest in the new battery of 130 kms range ??

Can you make one for me ?? if its yes, how much will it cost ??

Regards

LF

The battery cost just under $AU3000, but that is also higher due to the fact that I paid a professional battery supplier to do the spot welding.

Sorry, I think building this once was enough for me. It would not be viable to ship a battery this size from Australia anyway.
