my old boss gave me 1 advice that i will always remember: "trust. but verify" :)

Why ?, which batteries by Acid or li-on, can you tell me the brand of the battery? Dave gave prices for different batteries? I would like to know the price he gave for acid batteries and the new li-on

cool, Im assuming the picture is of a lipo (not sla) and 4 24v batts(not a 6s4p) how many amp hours on it?
What are the lenghtxwidthxheight measuerments on it? might be a suitable replaceent for the long lipos 6s that hobbyking has discontinued...

Unless f course it is an SLA brick...

No is for 4 accid battery pack

thanks man... figured :x

Operative word "brick". (Before I moved to Li, used/spent SLA made great door stops.)

Dave have two li-on batterries with a range 25 and 35 km for renové the 42 special, and a new special battery with silicone and lithium for 1000 $, i think only for the A/T

Wow, I had the opposite experience & thought Dave L. was really nice & knowledgeable, but everyone has an off day I guess..
You can save money w/ your E-glide by getting 2- 12v motorcycle batteries(>$50ea.) & wiring them in series which is the same as what your getting from E-glide. I have had the 36v GI model for years and it needed new batteries, I bought 3 "Yusa" motorcycle batteries & wired them in series, works again as new.

Stuntmanmike have You a reference for quit the 4 old acid and install only 2 for the 42 special?

Thank

Poweralti, you just need to buy 2 12V SLA's and wire them in series. You can also at this time UPGRADE by getting LiFePO4 replacements instead of the Lead Acid Batteries. Doing so will massively increase your range and run time...

This is the battery used in E-Glide products. http://www.bb-battery.com/productpages/EB/EB12-12.pdf

and these batteries will fit in the battery box as upgrade replacements.

Thanks Gelroos but i don,t need expensive batteries, i need anything similar to hobbyking or aliexpress.

I need sell the skateboard and reduce all possible weight

Thanks very much

I too, had a decent exchange with Dave a few years back.

I was on a budget (as always) and he sold me the GI drive parts (GI truck, mount, motor, sprockets, SC,) so that I could use my MBS for the rest of it. After a lot of email back and forth, I drove down to Santa Monica (from SF) and he hooked me up. He genuinely has a passion for electric boards, not just "cashing in". Anyway, that was my experience, maybe 5 years ago.

I have now a Evolve carbon series

I rode this powerskate for 5 years, it is wonderful and I guess still the best uphill, the main problem of the 42 special is its weight and the main problem of the company e-glide is dave, he strives to us the remote guns are a bad idea, I guess soon banish cables if he have enough money ......

One of technical workers at Hobbyking told me that zippy is the cheapest batteries they have but turnigys are a little better quilts wise and I should to those. Don't knownif it true but my zippys aren't that good qui kart but could be a fluke.

Hehe... EVerybuddy *loves* "cheap". My suggestion? "Cheapest" COST PER MILE/ KILOMETER over "life" of battery, and SAFEist chem to sleep at night w/ZERO WORRY. Pretty sure some flavour of lithium. With LiFePO4 being possibly the most "forgiving" (if not the lightest). LiPo sometimes more "bang for the buck" than "bang" intended. (Unless yer a Volunteer Fire Fighter of course.) Ya want "safe"? Stay in bed.

EDIT: Sorry to get "OT". Back to your original programming/this "thread" re E-Glide.

These will work & they're cheap, just double check the dimensions on the originals.
-Sorry for the long response time.
