... an incentive of $250 per month. ... in Ohio, USA:

In part:
Ohio Democrat U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown introduced the Electric Vehicle Credit Act. The bill would create a pre-tax transportation benefit similar to public transit passes, allowances, and parking fees employers can now give employees. Employers would not be required to offer the benefit, but for those who do, employees who drive cars with 4 kWh or larger battery packs or motorcycles or three-wheelers with 2.5 kWh or greater battery packs, would be eligible.

"three-wheelers with 2.5 kWh or greater battery packs"? Why so huge???

The Electric Vehicle Credit Act has been assigned to the Senate Finance Committee. Whether or not you think the Electric Vehicle Credit Act is a great idea, you can let Senator Brown know on his Twitter account.

This must be an effort to distinguish EVs from hybrids, right? They could just say "EV" but then what about the chevy volt? Anyway, obviously I think ebikes should be included... even normal bicycles are theoretically entitled to $25/month for commuting.

At the same time tacking on additional registration fees because they're not paying gas tax.

No problem! Proportional to size/weight of vehicle, correct?

NO! Proportional to whatever few hundred dollars of gas taxes you're not paying each year. Aw, hell, this is government, they'll probably decide to take ALL your gas savings, socialists that they are anymore.
