Hey Everyone,

I bought one but haven't mounted yet.

If used, may only come with one elastomer. You may need to buy additional. You also may need shim if not correct size.

There's a bigger thread that's not coming up in a search.

I have personally tried the Thudbuster and Suntour NCX models. I was pleased with both, and would not hesitate to get either one of them again...

I have 2 Suntour NCX's and they both are quite good. I have had one issue with one of mine after 1500 miles of use and that is the brass internal collars/bushes on the hardened rollers have worn leading to play in the action. So far I have been unable to source direct replacements but have had I set purposely made for me by my machinist brother.

Ah, got words to broaden the search. What you also think about is just how elaborate a seat you really want. These two threads discuss it broadly.

Yeah I don't like the cost of decent forks either. It's not for the budget minded for sure but there is more going on there than you might expect. They are infinitely customize-able to your weight/preference. It works great to save your back/butt though over long rides and supposedly makes a difference for the feeling of fatigue from getting jostled by the road.

I really agree with what you posted here, this has a hudge bearing on how long i or anyone else riding the bike can enjoy riding much more.

This is something i felt after a bit of riding with the thudbuster

More bad news is I need a 26.8mm seat post. I note that the Bodyfloat is only available in 27.2 and 31.6 mm seat post sizes. Kind of hard to fit on a bike that requires 25.4 or 26.8mm. Seems the Thudbusters are rare in the smaller sizes as well. Good news is I found a used Thudbuster ST in 25.4mm on Ebay. I am going to try to use that with a 25.4/26.8mm seatpost shim and a Cloud9 seat to smooth out the pavement a bit.
