Been looking around on the internet trying to find a light-weight, silent, cheap, 48V trolling motor to power an inflatable boat/kayak.
I want something so light-weight and small so that a can tow it behind my bike on a small bike trailer like the one you would normally use for transporting a child or a dog.
I already own two powerful ebike batteries that I use with my 750W ebike for work commuting: (not my picture)
I bought the extra battery from a guy whose bike sadly got stolen, and a got a great price and thought that it might come in handy in the future.
The specs on these batteries are 48V and 15,6Ah, and there are LG cells inside.
That means that I have 748Wh + 748Wh = 1.5 kWh of energy in total.
Weight of both batteries are 4 + 4 Kg = 8 Kg (17.6 Pounds).
Problem is that all 48 V trolling motors are very heavy and very powerful and much more expensive than your standard small trolling Minn Kota. Some of the 48V electric boat motors look like normal outboard motors and they are heavy and also quite noisy, and I want small and silent.
Does anyone have a product to recommend me or another simple solution that would fit my battery setup?
Thanks!
