Spoke calcualtions using Casio Programable calculator

Thats weird about the batteries. Wonder if Casio could help you?

OK...SWEET! I got it to work! Now I have just have to check it for accuracy.

The problem was that in the line I was having trouble with I was using the √ key to add the Squared symbol instead of the shift and √ keys.

I'll let you know how it goes.

Cant thank you enough for all your help, I have been looking online for years (sporadically) for a program to replace my old one.

Cheers

no problem

did you get what I meant and understand the link regarding to spoke angles?

That is only really relevant when you are doing weird spoke lacing patterns. other wise you can just ignore that and enter a whole decimal cross figure.

To see if you have it correct in

here are some test figures not related to any wheel in particular, just easy numbers to see what comes out

ERD 550
Rim hole offset 5
LH hub dia 180
RH Hub diameter 180
left Flange to wheel centre 20
right flange to wheel centre 15
Spoke hole diameter 2.5
X or Angle, 20 degree
Rim hole angular spacing 10 (this is for a 36 hole rim

results should be
Cross = 1
Left +192.2318216
Right = 191.9085237

And another set using A 2 cross pattern, with the rest of the figures the same, with a 28 hole rim

ERD 550
Rim hole offset 5
LH hub dia 180
RH Hub diameter 180
left Flange to wheel centre 20
right flange to wheel centre 15
Spoke hole diameter 2.5
X or Angle, 2
Num rim holes 28

Results
Spoke Angle = 51.42857143
left = 229.1567161
right = 228.8852967

How did it work?

Did your figures come out the same as mine when you run those from two posts up through it?
