Standing or laying down cell arrangement

Dear all, is there a consequence on heat management or something else by arranging cells standing or laying down? Please consider a large pack with multiple levels.

Not Really ... as long as U aren't pulling peak amps for any length of time. 18650 cells can supposedly withstand temps up to 125F, but not constantly. Side-to-side contact has proven to be AOK (so far) when space is a premium as in this horizontal end-to-end / side-to-side cell fabrication by Barncat ... https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=115074

Always best (IMO) to have at least some thin ridgid fiber spacer between cell sides so they aren't contacting one another even when space is a premium. Especially when drawing continuous peak amperage possibly leading to dangerous high/hot cell temps.
