The Mid Drive Hub as a Non Hub Group

From Quiksand, he rides offroad and needed a full-suspension with a system that was light with good ground clearance. Eventually, he switched to a motor with more copper mass, a BLT-500.

Absolutely amazing, loved the video. Wont be surprised if you get a role in a James Bond bike chase video soon. Makes me want to get on with converting my bike to a mid drive asap.

From the endless-sphere facebook, builder Ashley Venn. looks like a "crossbreak style" where a geared hub (Bafang BPM?) is internally adapted so the shell is stationary and the shaft spins.

Here's the first mid-drive I made that worked great on the road...Well that old DH knobby proved questionable. Doing 45-50mph and I noticed the front felt mushy and a few seconds later completely flat in the middle lane of a 6 lane hwy with traffic all around was interesting to say the least.
Wahoo with MiniMonster mid drive as tested.JPG
