Two new 24V 18Ah Nexcell NiMH packs from ebikes.ca.
Cycle Analyst sez I've drawn 9.06Ah from the packs connected in series.
I've not yet asked for the test report for the two packs I bought so they could be closer to 20Ah than 18Ah but I'm confident they're not less than 18Ah.
I'm 59 km into the second charge and have drawn 9.06 Ah from the packs. That's over half.
Can I safely pull twelve amp hours before recharging? How low can I go?
The CA voltage reading sez 51.7V after resting all day. The low voltage cut off is 39V but CA sez I've already reached 38.8V?
The first charge carried me 107 km. (270lbs. Xtracycle and rider on a Xlyte 5304) At ~100 km into that charge I did a WOT speed run on a level stretch.
With a bit of pedal assist the bike did 43 kmh on the saddle, elbows tucked in, and 47 kmh from the deck with my chin on the saddle.
I like pulling chain and bicycle speeds are fast enough for me with bicycle brakes. The CA sez 7.2 Wh/km for this 59 kilometers. The avg. spd. is only 17.2 kmh because I went on a slow stylin' social ride Thursday night. The max speed of 43.7 was coasting.
