Darius McCollum - Notorious NYC Transit Bus + Train stealer

Watched a show on this strange dude last night.

He steals buses and trains and blames it on his Aspergers Syndrome. He has spent half his life in the penal system. I stayed up until 4am last night watching this and found it interesting that someone would keep doing the same thing over and over again. He is exactly like an drug addict. I had great hopes for the guy near the end of the show when he was off parole, and moved in with his mom in North Carolina. I thought great geographical cure, wrong, he ended up back in NYC and stole a greyhound bus. Now the judicial system has had enough of the freak, they will throw the book at him. Luckily he aint in California where 3 strikes your done.

California 3 Strikes Law ain't what it used to be. The first guy sentenced wound up getting out when they changed the law, though the changes were applicable to him. He went for the strong arm robbery of some little kids with a pizza. Basically the assault of young children is a serious felony. But they downplayed that and whined about it was just for stealing a pizza, though no that wasn't the charge that got him. Oops. I don't know the current number, but it costs tens of thousands of dollars to lock up a prisoner for the year. The politicians would rather see him back on the streets so they can talk about being tough on crime.
