Might as well post it here...

Just found out my scooter was ripped off sometime between 10am and 1pm today, from the motorcycle parking on Nelson Street, by Expo Blvd, in downtown Vancouver, BC.

It's a black/silver motorino xph. Has some Haida stickers on it.

If you have any info, let me know.

Thanks.

I also use a U-Lock which has an alarm (not very loud) and also sends a signal to the remove/receiver, up to 300 yards away.

From ebay, years ago.

The Vancouver stolen bike/motorcycle thread on Facebook has a link to videos, photos, of the police auctions.

One of the videos shows several electric scooters.

Recent FB posts showed stolen Motorino electric scooter, one only a day after she got her scooter.

You can use a GMRS or FRS radio, with Vox activation, to alert you to the scooter alarm going off.

Be aware that car thieves usually set off a car alarm, and see if anybody responds, before stealing a car. An inexpensive green laser pointer is a way of "going outside" to check your ebike/escooter quicker than you can run down from your apartment.

There is a post in Facebook about someone with a green laser who put a stop to some motorcyclist with noisy, straight pipes, waking the neighborhood every 6:30am. She'd shine her laser on him from her apartment building. He no longer take her street.

Bike thieves should be treated like horse thieves in the 1800's.
Meaning caught, hung on the nearest tree and left for the coyotes, vultures and bugs.

My MAC 8T, OSN A123 48V on Trek Shift 3 was stolen - now reported at https://bikeindex.org/bikes/103102. Please keep on eye out for any parts that may be listed for sale, used - the MAC 8T motor or my custom A123 AMP20 48V 2x8S1P 48V battery pack in aluminium hardshell. I'm offering a $500 reward for my bikes return, if intact.

DANG GB... (moved from Skidegate?) So... Charger taken also? Maybe alert area ebike outlets? Also been thinking of future to pick up one GPS Tracker.

... and also suggesting folks go as "non-standard" as possible with components...

Sorry, but I don't agree with your punishment idea. We, ebikers, are being victimized with a Divide-And-Conquer strategy by the Elite. (Read Henry Makow's books and tweets, if this is new to you.)

The real thieves, the central bankers, are in control of the levers of power, who then make us poor.
