    Conversion for Christiania-style trike?

Hey infviza am looking forward to seeing how you went with the Cyclone on the Christiania! I also looked at that method but it seemed to be a bit of mucking around to mount it properly and it would have meant losing my Schlumpf Mountain Drive.

    Conversion for Christiania-style trike?

I too thought long and hard on how best to convert my Christiania. I went for the rear hub motor and have not looked back since! Check out my blog in the signature block for all the details - the electric stuff starts from November 2009. Happy to answer any questions you may have!

    What happens when freewheels fail?

I'd be interested in this also. My freewheel at present won't work in the high gear - turning the pedals just makes a horrible ratchety type of noise and it wont engage the rear wheel. All the other sprockets are fine though so I have put off replacing the freewheel due to the time involved in...

    Brett white on tv

Saw this on the tele last night and was surprised when I heard the name! I received some good advice from him via email a while back when I was researching options to electrify my trike. I never purchased from him which based on other people's experience was probably a good thing. I am at a loss...

What do YOU use for a bike lock---security

I'm not familiar with full suspension bikes sorry. If you look at the picture of the lock on the link though, I would guess that as long as the seat stay does not move separately to the actual wheel you might be OK? And you also need to be able to get some hose clamps through the holes on the...

What do YOU use for a bike lock---security

No worries auraslip. Yes it is rock solid on the frame, no noise at all. The 'ring' part that locks the wheel also seems very strong and yes given its proximity to the wheel it would be very difficult to put it right into a pair of bolt cutters. The lock also will not engage without the key...

What do YOU use for a bike lock---security

That is a frame or ring lock as seen here - http://www.velo-orange.com/ringlock.html. I have one on my trike and it is great for short stops as it engages in about 2 seconds flat and simply wont let the bike be ridden away. I guess you could try lifting the back wheel and walking it off...

Your Creation's Before & After Pics

Hi - Have been lurking around these forums for a while researching the best way to electrify my Christiania Trike. Eventually went with an Ezee hub motor kit from ebikes.ca (with great support from Justin and my LBS!). It goes really well and I can now go up hills with a load of children at...
