    tsdz2 crank arm binds

Hi- I'm installing a new tsdz2 and when I install the non-drive side crank arm to the required specs, it binds against the bottom bracket such that it won't rotate. Any thoughts on how to install the crank arm? Seems a bizarre problem to have with a brand new kit. Thx.

    Slower with bigger chainring?

I have a tsdz2 that I'm running with an alfine 8 speed rear hub. The cog on the hub is 16T, and I have been, until recently, running a 46T chainring. I damaged that chainring, and looking for a bit more speed, replaced it with a 47T. I expected that the bike would be a bit faster, but in fact...

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Cells in the batt are supposed to be sanyo NCR18650GA. I believe max discharge is 10A. I took the cover off the battery and was not particularly impressed with what I saw. Again, cells look legit enough, but I suppose it wouldn't be that hard to counterfeit the jackets. Build quality isn't...

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

The exact battery description: 14S Sanyo cell 51.8V 52V 17.5Ah Li-ion Battery 48V 1000W Electric Fat Bike Hailong Battery This was the vendor: https://unitpackpower.aliexpress.com/store/1178407?spm=a2g0s.9042647.0.0.18cf4c4dDlXijT Yes, the batt is recognized by the tsdz2 at 58.8V. That's...

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Welp I finally tried out my 52v batt with my newly flashed tsdz2 and I'm seeing most of the same problems with it that I saw before flashing. Initially I get 10-15minute of run, then it cuts out. Following that the cut outs become more and more frequent until eventually I get little more than a...

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Yep, I went ahead and flashed with the 52v profiles just to be sure. I can't thank you enough for offering up your knowledge. It's funny how quick and simple this all was once I had the correct pieces in place.

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Woo! Just saw these 2 replies, but before I quit for the evening I thought I'd remake the cable at about 6". That did it! Now I just feel embarrassed about getting frustrated. ;) So following the instructions here...

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Thanks for the reply. Your video is super helpful. I'm using the same st-link, and my pin out looks identical as well. My cable is maybe 2.5 ft long, maybe that's too long? It sure looks like the VM is seeing the stlink, and I have the software configured properly, but it just errors out...

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Where did you get the "files" to reflash to 52v? I've spent hours and hours and hours trying to get to this point. Right now I still can't talk to the device, but I'm guessing finding the correct files is going to be my next problem if I ever get past this one.

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

OK well, the error above seems to have been due to usb driver issues on effing-windows. Past that, now I'm getting this: > Reading PROGRAM MEMORY area... Error : Cannot communicate with the device ! Check the SWIM cable connection and check all the needed pin connections on the SWIM connector...

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Thank you! This is quite helpful. I was under the impression that the 52v battery was backwards compatible. Apparently not. I don't suppose any of you can tell me where I find details on how to flash the controller to remove the limit?

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Was working fine last night but took the battery off to charge. Full charge this morning, lights and display work, but motor doesn't come on. This is only the second time I've charged the battery and noticed something similar the last time too, though in that case the motor began working again...
